Although ABC’s decade-old sitcom ‘Modern Family’ is nearing its end, it teased us a new beginning in its last episode, titled ‘Spuds’, which aired a month ago, before the show took off on a one-month break leaving its fans disappointed.

While Episode 14 saw the members of the Pritchett-Dunphy-Tucker households bicker over little differences, the preview of the upcoming episode hints at a few happy moments, one might want to tightly hold on to cherish since ‘Modern Family’ is preparing to bid an emotional goodbye.

The official synopsis for ‘Baby Steps’ states, “Claire lands an interview for her dream job but is thwarted on her way to the interview by Phil's tricky staircase; Cam and Mitch debate the pros and cons of adopting another baby.”

As seen in the last episode, Cameron Tucker’s (Eric Stonestreet) loss of his dream job is put into perspective when the adoption agency from years ago contact him saying he and Mitchell Pritchett (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) have been placed on the list next, due to some glitch in the agency’s computer.

Although the couple had for a long time craved a second child, they will be seen weighing their options in the next episode before they agree to welcome a new member into their family of three. And, throughout all these seasons Lily Tucker-Pritchett (Aubrey Anderson-Emmons) was vocal about her disinterest in having a sibling. It remains to be seen how a grown-up Lily is going to react to her fathers’ decision.

Meanwhile, we could expect some trouble in the Dunphy household as Claire Dunphy’s (Julie Bowen) dream job is threatened by Phil Dunphy’s (Ty Burrell) attempt at silly tricks.

However, more than the chaos that’s bound to unfold, we are rather looking forward to learning more about Clair’s so-called dream job, given her father desires her to take up his dog bed business.

‘Modern Family’ season finale is scheduled to air on April 8. With only three episodes left until the iconic sitcom’s conclusion, numerous theories regarding its ending are afloat. However, ‘Modern Family’ Season 11 has so far surprised us with more than one unexpected twist. We couldn’t wait to see what the finale has in store for us.
