Miss Universe 2020 host Olivia Culpo slammed as 'boring', upset fans say 'bring back Steve Harvey'
Miss Universe viewers were already skeptical about Steve Harvey not hosting the event this year. Turns out, former pageant winner Olivia Culpo's emceeing failed to win hearts as many said that she had 'no energy'. Culpo, the winner of Miss USA and Miss Universe in 2012, hosted this year's pageant ceremony with Mario Lopez, who last served as the host during Miss Universe 2007.
Harvey, who has been a host for Miss Universe for the last few years, was replaced this year by Lopez. The Daytime Emmy Award-winning show host, Harvey, took to Twitter to share how he felt after the news was announced. The 'Family Feud' showrunner quipped, "I’ll miss you guys — but I’ll see you for the 70th!"

While Culpo and Lopez started the show on a high note, Twitter users slammed them saying their hosting was a snooze fest. A user slammed the former Miss USA winner's hosting and said, "Miss Universe really hits different with Steve Harvey as the host, the goosebumps every time he announces the finalists gives off a different energy, the way viewers could really feel the tension and excitement OLIVIA COULD NEVER!"
Another user quipped, "Me seeing olivia culpo change her outfit but not her energy!" A viewer chimed in saying, "They say two is better than one but I kind of doubt that now. Olivia Culpo makes me want to go back to sleep!" Another similar tweet read, "Please give Miss Olivia a bed she needs to go back to sleep!" One more called her "very boring".
