Miss America 2020: Airing date, contestants, judges and everything else you need to know about much-awaited beauty pageant

Whether you love it or hate it, you can’t ignore one of the world’s most popular beauty pageant shows - ‘Miss America’. Currently, in its 93rd year, the prestigious title is awarded to one of the 51 participants representing their respective states in the pageant.
Over the years, ‘Miss America’ has broadened its scope from just being a beauty pageant to a platform for advancing female empowerment and strength by handing out scholarship to the winner, to further their efforts toward community service and education.
Airdate
NBC’s 'The 2020 Miss America Competition' will be telecast live Thursday, Dec. 19, 2019, from 8-10 p.m. ET/PT at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn.
Contestants
A total of 51 contestants from each of the US states will be participating in the pageant to win the title.
Format
The competition will follow the 51 compelling candidates as they compete for scholarships to be used to continue their efforts toward community service and education. The show will highlight a diverse group of young students and professionals who are advancing the message of female strength, independence, and empowerment through their efforts in the areas of scholarship, talent, and social impact.
Over the last two years, the Miss America Organization and its state competitions have awarded nearly $6 million in scholarships.
