Coworkers horrified as 54-year-old Michigan father dies after falling into tank of sulphuric acid at factory
The 54-year-old man as pulled out of the tank, washed off, and rushed to the hospital, but did not survive. He leaves behind his wife and daughter
A Michigan man died after falling into a tank of sulphuric acid in a horrfic accident. Sulphuric acid is known to cause severe chemical burns as well as secondary thermal burns on contact and is most commonly used for fertilizer manufacturing and oil refining.
According to WWJ News Radio, an unidentified 54-year-old man fell into a tank which contained the acid at a temperature of at least 160 degrees at Michigan Seamless Tube on McMann Street, south of 10 Mile Road, in South Lyon on Saturday, February 9.
