While appearing on Tuesday's (October 22) episode of MSNBC's 'Hardball', Michael Moore shared that the white working-class voters were scared of losing power to minorities which is why they vote for Trump.

When asked why working-class white people stick with Trump, the documentary filmmaker said, "Sadly, I think it is a racial thing on some level with a lot of people. I think that white guys…they can see the writing on the wall. The women are coming."

"They arrived last November. We are now — this is the eighth September in a row where the majority of first-graders in this country last month were not white."

Moore continued that the demographic shift in America could result in white people becoming a minority by the 2040s.

"I think there's some level of fear about that," he continued. He went on to say that is why the white voter fearfully votes white. "When you're in power, you don't want to lose what you have, and let's face it," he continued.

Moore had recently endorsed Senator Bernie Sanders for president on Friday, October 25. He shared that  Sanders is not scared to openly state that capitalism is the problem. The 65-year-old added that he will be making a formal appearance at a Sanders campaign.

He also shared that he thinks that Bernie could beat Trump. "Why me for Bernie? Because Bernie understands that capitalism and the greedy form of capitalism, especially that we have now, is at the core of so many of the problems that we're talking about."

"And he's not afraid to come out and just say that -- that it's the problem," Moore said.

The filmmaker had endorsed Sanders "30 years ago" when he had run for Congress. It was just last month that the Oscar winner suggested that Sanders' rival Sen. Elizabeth Warren doesn't believe it when she calls herself a "capitalist".
