Did Mia Khalifa lie about porn career? Internet feels she has 'darker story' but has to stop the 'shenanigans'

There is a theory floating around the Internet that Khalifa hopes to omit her 'mistakes' of working in the industry by distancing herself this way

Former pornstar-turned-sports commentator Mia Khalifa has been doing the rounds in newsprint often these days. Khalifa recently shared a TikTok video titled, 'pose like them men that have mentally abused and sexually manipulated you', and spoke about the sexual abuse she had to face throughout her career and even before that. She called out her ex-boyfriend who "groomed me at 16 to fulfil his twisted fantasies", about another one of her ex-boyfriends who is also a former BangBros executive who "kept me locked in a toxic s**ual cycle for years" and a current BangBros executive who "has defied my consent numbers" and who also happens to be best friends with her ex-boyfriend.

Ever since Khalifa quit the porn industry after a reported three-month stint, she has given several interviews where she recounted how she was not only taken advantage of but wasn't fully compensated for her work. Narrating her ordeal in detail, Khalifa also noted the vicious game of powerplay that is rampant throughout the porn industry across channels and networks and has even discouraged women from entering the industry. She has pointed out on multiple occasions that the remuneration she received was $12,000 by working in porn. She added that she made an estimated $1,000 per scene. Khalifa also said she never received residuals from Bangbros who owns and sells her content or from Pornhub and other free sites where the company uploaded the videos.

However, many are pointing out how all her claims might be false. "I think it's funny she said she only did 12 videos/ shoots. Even if she f**ked 4 different dudes in one shoot she did more than 48 videos. There's literally 20 PAGES of porn of her on pornhub," pointed one out on Reddit. Many are finding it confusing that Khalifa would make such claims when she has practically built her career on the foundations of her previous gig as a pornstar.

"Considering she still uses her porn name and funneled that traffic into collaborations with popular streamers, youtubers, etc.. Commonly cited as the 'porn star'...and a very high followed ig likely worth millions of dollars in endorsements, it seems like a weird thing to lie about," said another. That said, it must be noted that no one is doubting her claims. "The porn industry can be incredibly manipulative and abusive," said one. And even though Khalifa's story is likely to stand true, it doesn't explain why she chose this path to do share her experience. "She seems to have a much darker story of potential grooming to tell, and I think people want to listen, but she has to stop the shenanigans first," one said. "I'm sure she has a story to tell of some merit... however, I don't think this is the way to go about it, considering how much she's made off of her name as a result of her time with BB (which was an opportunity BB helped create for her)," added another.

There is a hot theory floating around the Internet that Khalifa hopes to omit her "mistakes" of working in the industry by distancing herself in this way. "She believes she shouldn't suffer from the 'mistakes' she has made in her younger years," said a user. But many also warn that Khalifa's methods might invite trouble for herself. "Regret/remorse is an entirely different thing than lying about pay and involvement," said one. "She does need to be careful if she is lying or misrepresenting the truth, because she could open herself up to being sued for libel and other things by BB," wrote another.
