What is the plot of 'Merry Good Enough'?

Special thanks to the Sommerville Theater for this comprehensive synopsis: Lucy Raulie has always had a complicated relationship with her dysfunctional family, but when her mother disappears on Christmas Eve it’s going to be up to Lucy to bring her family back together again, whether she knows it or not. Joined by her older brother Tim and younger sister Cynthia the Raulie kids may get more than they all bargained for when their eccentric father George shows up to “help” in the search. While the plot would certainly point towards the usual holiday comedy, there is a dark streak to this move that sets it apart from the rest of the seasonal contenders.

'Merry Good Enough' cast

Raye Levine

Raye Levine plays Lucy Raulie in her first major project as an actress: She has done a number of shorts. She is married to Sawyer Spielberg (Yup, you guessed right, he's the son of Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw). She can be seen next in the much-anticipated 'A View of the World from Fifth Avenue'.

Comfort Clinton

Fans of the hit TV show 'Billions' will remember Comfort Clinton as Ira Schirmer's young and stunning wife (eventually) Taiga. In 'Merry Good Enough' she plays Lucy's younger sister Cynthia.

Joel Murray

Murray plays the 'eccentric' patriarch George. Murray was a series regular on 'Dharma and Greg' and can currently be seen playing Eddie Earl in the exceptional series 'Heels' alongside Stephen Amell and Alexander Ludwig.

Is 'Merry Good Enough' worth watching?

Early reviews are promising, with the soundtrack being given a special mention. With the glut, however, in holiday films, it will take some doing for 'Merry Good Enough' to stand out in the crowd. We do recommend it.
