'The Late Late Show with James Corden' had some hilarious moments lined up for the audience from the episode that aired on Wednesday, December 18. The audience got to watch  Melissa McCarthy and Allison Janney put their own twists on some of the biggest movies this holiday season.

Now, he may be regretting asking McCarthy to step into his shoes while he took the night off from hosting the show. The segment commenced with McCarthy and Janney doing a joint interview. "A lot of big movies are being released this holiday season, and I'm proud to say we were in most of them," said Janney.

McCarthy and Janney claimed to have been a part of films like 'Cats', 'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker' and 'Little Women' releasing this holiday season.

They shared their axed “Cats” scene first, with McCarthy telling the camera: “Believe it or not, we wrote that song ourselves. When Andrew Lloyd Webber heard it, he got jealous and we got cut out.”

Referring to one of their scenes which was supposedly cut from 'Star Wars: The Rise of the Skywalker', they talked about how it opened with McCarthy donning Princess Leia buns and Janney donning a high ponytail. The two fought against each other using lightsabers and made their own sound effects throughout the battle.

Although the director stopped the scene to tell them that they did not want to make lightsaber sounds because they would be added later, the duo went on to make it in their next take too. "I thought that note was just for Melissa," said Janney when they were stopped the second time.

After filming the scene for the third time, McCarthy took a break to "feed the baby." She quickly grabbed a Baby Yoda doll and pretended to breastfeed the baby. "He's cute, but he's a biter," she said as she nailed the mom jokes and Janney looked at her with sympathy.
