FLOTUS has sparked a lot of outrage on social media after she advised her followers to 'read a book' or 'spend time on a hobby' while working from home amid the COVID-19 virus outbreak.

Melania Trump has remained rather quiet about the current coronavirus pandemic that has gripped the world. She recently took to Twitter to give US citizens some advice on how they could spend their time at home given the quarantine and requirement to maintain social distance.

She had tweeted, "Consider taking advantage of time working from home to connect with your loved ones via email or FaceTime, spend time w family, or work on your well-being by reading a book or spending time on a hobby."

Many social media users mocked the first lady for her naivety and criticized her advice. One such user shared, "LMAO Take up a hobby? Newsflash: the majority of Americans work paycheck to paycheck and are trying to figure out how they're going to eat and pay rent this month…"

While another wrote, "Sorry but you are not someone one my advisor list. When did you last work a job? Pay a bill?” A third person added, "Try supporting your family with no wages coming in and trump taking away snap benefits and healthcare."

"Then there are tests we don't have because trump refused them. Where is the BeBest in that?" the user shared. "How does that work exactly for the parents who are now homeschooling their children, who have lost their jobs or are in fear of losing them, can’t afford groceries?" another user pointed out.

Melania had also shared a tweet with regards to St. Patricks Day and had written, "While things are different this year, and the focus is to keep each other safe & healthy, don’t forget to celebrate special events & occasions. Happy #StPatricksDay."

Donald Trump, on the other hand, has been posting about the coronavirus pandemic for weeks now. He recently faced a lot of backlash for referring to the coronavirus as "Chinese". We had previously reported that he remained obdurate and said on Tuesday, March 17, that he didn’t do anything inappropriate by identifying the deadly virus with China where it is believed to have originated from.
