Melania is the family 'alpha' now since Trump lost the election, says expert: 'The tides are changing'
While it was always assumed that President Donald Trump was the dominant partner in his marriage to Melania Trump, a body language expert now claims that the dynamics might have shifted in the wake of the POTUS losing the election to President-elect Joe Biden in the 2020 election. As a result, the FLOTUS might be looking to divorce her husband as soon as he leaves the White House.
Bruce Durham, body language expert and psychologist, speaking to Mirror, pointed out that Trump always had a dominant role in the relationship with his wife. He made the claim referring to photos from before the election. In the pictures, the POTUS “is always leading, his hand is always in the 'power' position, and he has sometimes actually moved Melania out of the way to 'set the scene' for him to be center stage”. However, all that changed after the election's outcome was announced.
Even though Trump continues to refuse to concede and claims voter fraud, in the wake of the election results, his demeanor has visibly changed. Durham said: “After the votes were coming in and Donald spoke on stage, it was Melania who walked off first, and it was Melania who took her hand away from Donald. For four years we have seen Donald leading their actions via his body language control behaviors... the tides could be changing.”
The psychologist added that it was not surprising to see Melania take on a more dominating role in the relationship as she has shown before that she can be the leader in the relationship. He also suggested that becoming dominating might be a common sight on her part as time goes on. Durham added: “Melania has given us glimpses of when she wants to, she can become the alpha in the relationship. It will be very interesting to see how losing the presidency will impact the power play of body language between the two moving forward."
MEAWW previously reported that experts have started to discuss Trump's relationship with Melania which seems to be souring especially since she was reportedly spotted holding the arm of a serviceman at a Veteran's Day ceremony in Virginia and not her husband. The event had been their first public appearance since Trump lost the election to his Democratic rival Joe Biden on November 3.
According to body language expert Judi James who spoke to Fabulous Digital, Melania had seemed "tense" while Trump was under "clear pressure". Experts and lawyers who specialize in prenuptial agreements believe that if the couple does split up, Melania will walk away with a massive fortune. According to reports, Trump's first wife Ivana and his second wife Marla Maples had contested their prenups but the payouts had been similar to what was in the agreements.
According to reports, former White House aides have revealed that Melania is "counting the minutes" until she can divorce Trump. Experts believe that Melania can walk away with up to $50 million and that real estate may be involved as well, according to reports by Town and Country. A managing partner at Berkman Bottger Newman & Rodd, Jacqueline Newman, said, "Obviously, he has the apartment in the city that was his before the marriage. I can pretty much guarantee he's not giving it to her. But in situations where I've dealt with very high-income, high-asset cases, the moneyed spouse will purchase an apartment for the non-moneyed spouse and the children to live in."
