Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's trip to the United Kingdom for the Queen's Jubilee was the source of much media attention. As per various reports, the Sussexes had asked Queen Elizabeth for a photograph with their one-year-old daughter Lilibet, but their request was rejected.

Apparently, this rumor is far from the truth as Meghan and Harry never even asked for photos with the Queen due to the monarch's ill health. "They just enjoyed a private and intimate visit with the Queen," a source told The New York Post and added that Harry and Meghan didn't even bother asking for photos as the 96-year-old monarch wasn't feeling well.

Other reports had claimed that Netflix was upset that Lilibet and the Queen didn't get a photo together as the streaming service was hoping to get their hands on the image because of Meghan and Harry's content deal with the platform. "I heard Netflix wanted these pictures of them with the royals. Because they would have sold it. It would be very valuable, very valuable to them," self-proclaimed royal expert Angela Levin told The Daily Mail.

An insider had previously claimed to The Sun, "Harry and Meghan wanted their photographer to capture the moment Lilibet met the Queen. But they were told no chance. It was a private family meeting." The source also told The New York Post that Harry and Markle had even taken Lilibet to meet Queen Elizabeth for a second time after their first meeting.

Meanwhile, Prince William and Kate Middleton reportedly did not interact with Meghan and Harry while they were in the UK. Neither did the Cambridges make any effort to introduce their children, Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4, to their cousins Lilibet, 1, and Archie, 3. Sources claim that Harry's departure from royal life and the alleged fallout between the brothers remains raw for William.

"He's still deeply upset about it and feels let down, but he's moved on," a friend of the royals told The Sunday Times. "He was incredibly worried about having all the family there, and what everyone was going to say. He was so relieved that most of the media made it all about the Queen, Prince Charles, and the children — they are the key people — and he was really pleased about that," the friend added.

The Sussexes released a new image of Lilibet on her first birthday. It was snapped by Misan Harriman, a close family friend, during Lilibet's birthday party. As per journalist Omid Scobie, Meghan and Harry invited close friends and family for an intimate backyard picnic at Frogmore Cottage, Windsor. Claire Ptak, who made the couple's 2018 wedding cake, reportedly baked a special order for the party.
