Meghan Markle 'faking' it with Harry for 'celebrity' life, says Germaine Greer: 'How many orgasms will it take?'

Greer's comments came a month after Megxit, which critics saw as a ploy driven by a “fame-hungry” Meghan in a bid to return to Hollywood

Australian writer Germaine Greer, who predicted two years ago that Meghan Markle would likely run away taking her husband with her after she got married to Prince Harry, recently questioned whether the former Duchess of Sussex was faking her love for the prince.

Appearing on Australia's '60 Minutes' the second-wave feminist said the outcome of the former 'Suits' star's marriage to Princess Charles' youngest son is "likely to be disastrous" if she is doing it all for fame and social status and actually harbors no authentic feelings for him.

"All I can think is she'd better be in love," she said. “If she's been faking it all this time, oh boy, what misery. How many orgasms will it take? How many fake groans will get her through this?”

Greer's comments came a month after Megxit, which critics saw as a ploy driven by a “fame-hungry” Meghan in a bid to return to Hollywood. The feminist writer agreed, saying warning signs were evident from the day the American-born divorcee was able to manipulate Harry in order to climb the “celebrity” ladder. The signs were also displayed during their extravagant $41M wedding, which was “full of showbiz.”

“The marriage was terrible too, because it was full of showbiz personalities as if Meghan lived in a completely artificial world," she said. "The whole point about showbiz — it's not real, and it won't sustain you.”

Greer also was not surprised when the couple announced their decision to step down as senior members of the royal family because two years ago, in a separate interview, she, in a way, predicted something like that would happen somewhere down the line.

"She'll bolt. She's bolted before,” she told '60 Minutes' at the time, alluding to her first marriage which failed, mysteriously adding, "But maybe she’ll take Harry with her.''

Harry’s official biographer Angela Levin, also spoke on '60 minutes' Sunday and claimed the former Duke did not mind making a "detriment of himself" to make his wife happy. She added that Meghan’s unpopularity stemmed from her focus on getting famous and racism had nothing to do with it, as most reports claimed following Megxit.

“I think a lot of the criticism has come about because she sort of lectures the public on how they should behave, but not do it herself," she said. "We shouldn't fly, but she can go off on private jets to Elton John and see the Clooneys and all that sort of thing.”
