There might not be any news of Baby Sussex's arrival yet but Meghan Markle's mother Doria Ragland has already arrived in the U.K. from Los Angeles as the birth of her first grandchild nears.

In a previous statement released by Kensington Palace in October, the 62-year-old had shared her reaction to her daughter’s pregnancy announcement. “Ms. Ragland is very happy about this lovely news and she looks forward to welcoming her first grandchild,” the statement read, as the rest of the world learned that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were expecting their first child together.

Doria's arrival in London, as reported by ET, is a clear indication that the pregnant Duchess might have the baby anytime now.

Doria, who works as a yoga instructor in L.A., shares a very close bond with daughter Meghan, considering that she was the only member of the Duchess' family to attend her wedding with Prince Harry that took place at St. George's Chapel in May last year.

Doria had visited her daughter and Prince Harry in the months leading up to their nuptials and was also by her side during the Duchess' first royal hosting event in September. She was joined by her son-in-law Harry, and the duo accompanied Meghan to Kensington Palace for a celebration marking the publication of 'Together: Our Community Cookbook'.

As per reports, Meghan had helped create the cookbook in a bid to benefit those affected by the Grenfell Tower fire tragedy. Meghan's mom also met with members of the Hubb Community Kitchen, and while speaking with guests, she said she was “head over heels” about her daughter’s accomplishment.

Doria has also been welcomed by other members of the royal family with open arms, as was evident from the moment Prince Charles, Prince Harry's father and the Duke of Windsor, escorted the bride’s mother down the steps of St. George’s Chapel following the ceremony.

As for her stay with Meghan, despite reports of Doria becoming a stay-at-home grandmother, multiple sources have confirmed that she won’t be sharing a roof with the newest member of the royal family. Doria, however, may have rooms set aside for her in the cottage, located close to the house where Harry and Meghan’s evening wedding party was held.

Meghan and Harry announced earlier that they are keeping the plans around the arrival of their baby private, with Kensington Palace officials releasing a statement from the royal couple saying that they "look forward" to sharing the news of their baby's birth once they have had a chance to celebrate privately as a new family.
