'Mayor of Kingstown' Episode 1: Crime drama has fans "hooked" for its gritty plot

Fans are both shocked and intrigued by the storyline of the latest crime thriller on Paramount+.

Paramount+ released its latest crime thriller series, 'Mayor of Kingstown', starring Dianne Weist and Jeremy Renner in lead roles. What's beyond bone-chilling is the mention of the prison town, Kingstown in itself; a city that primarily serves as a place built to support around seven prisons in a ten-mile radius.

The series is the brainchild of creators Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon, and depicts the harsh and difficult everyday life in the prison of Kingstown, where the only thriving business in the city is seeming to be involved with politics and corruption.
