'Match Game': James Van Der Beek helps contestants win second $50K in game's history, fans think he's 'psychic'
ABC's game show 'Match Game' is helping people make some big money and fans couldn’t contain their excitement as Alec Baldwin's show returned with another fun-filled episode tonight (June 7). The latest episode holds special not just because the contestants, Vincent Panico and Adam Burnes, took home a whopping $50000 but also because it was graced by the 'Variety Blues' star James Van Der Beek as the celebrity panelist.
Joining James were Sam Richardson, Jane Krakowski, Ben Schwartz, Caroline Rhea and Vivica A Fox. The four contestants were Marisa Aull, Adam Burnes, Shirene Warner and Vincent Panico. Although all of them put up a great show, it was clearly James who stole the show with his game tactics. He played well enough to help contestants win the price money, which makes it the second time in the history of 'Match Game' that someone has won $50000.

Another added to the previous tweet, "If I'm ever on #MatchGame and in the final I'd want James Van Der Beek as my pick. That dude is obviously psychic." Meanwhile, the majority of them noted that James reminded them of 'Family Feud' host Richard Dawson. While one fan said, "@matchgameabc @JamsVanDerBeek is the Richard Dawson of this version of Match Game. He is money when it comes to the big money."

"I'm telling you, James had the spirit of Richard Dawson with him tonight! #MatchGame," read one tweet. The rest of the tweets are directed towards Vincent and Adam’s big win which has earned them a name in the history of the show. One thrilled fan wrote, "I think Vincent owes James Van Der Beek a ride in his hot air balloon for helping him win. #MatchGame." Another added, "For the second time in this incarnation of @matchgame, we had the full $50,000 won! #MatchGame."
