CHURCHTON, MARYLAND: A woman was stabbed with a syringe filled with semen by a man outside of a supermarket earlier in February, Maryland police have revealed.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department received a complaint from a woman alleging that she was assaulted and poked by what she believed to be a syringe in the parking lot outside of a supermarket in Churchton, Maryland, on February 18.

The police then immediately pulled out the video surveillance footage from the parking lot and discovered that a white man who seemed to be around the age of 50 could be seen walking past the victim before stopping by her and talking to her.

The police shared the photograph of the suspect and reached out to the public to share any relevant information about the suspect with them.

On February 25, the police received a tip identifying the suspect as Thomas Byron Stemen.

The police then arrested him on charges of first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.

A judge ordered he be held without bail. The police also searched his car and house and found many syringes, which when tested, were found to contain semen.

The victim who has been identified as Katie Peters, reportedly told the police that after attacking her, Stemen came up to her and said, “I know it feels like a bee sting, doesn’t it?”

In an interview with WJZ, she added that, after the attack, while she was driving home, she felt discomfort and noticed a puncture wound in the area where she had been stabbed. She was so traumatized by the incident that she went for a urine and blood test, and began taking anti-disease medication, reported Unilad.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department’s detectives are convinced that there may be more victims and shared that the investigation is “extremely active”, and more charges could be brought against Stemen.
