'RHOSLC' Preview: Mary Cosby reveals her mother wanted to marry Robert Sr to inherit the church

In the upcoming episode of 'RHOSLC' we will see Mary Cosby opening up about her marriage to her step-grandfather Robert Sr and how it affected her relationship with her mother

While all the housewives on 'Real Housewives of Salt Lake City' instantly captured the audiences' attention with their interesting lifestyle, it was Mary Cosby who stole the show. Even before Bravo's latest addition to 'Real Housewives' franchise came on the show, there was enough buzz on the internet about Mary and her husband.

Mary's bio on Bravo and the trailers revealed that the housewife was married to her step-grandfather- Robert Sr. Ever since fans learned about it they were very curious to know more about the housewife's marriage and what made her marry her step-grandfather. We will finally be getting all the details in the upcoming episode of 'RHOSLC'. 

In the preview clip released by the network, we see Mary out with Meredith Marks. When Mary suddenly reveals that her marriage was arranged. She goes to explain that her grandmother wanted her to take her place, which included inheriting the family's huge business empire comprising of churches, restaurants, etc and alongside that marrying her second husband- Robert Sr. 



 

Mary admits that it was all very bizarre for her to marry her own grandfather, but played along with it because she trusted her grandmother and her judgments. So, she married her step-grandfather and shared that she was happy that she trusted her grandmother's decision. The housewife also spoke about how her family members weren't very pleased with it.

She briefly mentions about how the marriage strained her relationship with her mother because her mother wanted to inherit the church so was keen on marrying Robert Sr. She said, "My mom had a fit because...she wanted my grandmother's place [in the church] and felt like she was the one that should be marrying Robert Sr."

Mary's mother prioritizing money over relationships was the last straw for the housewife, and that made her pull away from her mother. Thankfully for Mary, everything seems to have worked out well, for she appears to be happily married to her husband. Mary ends the conversation by advising Meredith not to pay attention to what others are talking and to just focus on her own journey. 

'Real Housewives of Salt Lake City' Season 1 airs every Wednesday at 10/9c only on Bravo.
