'Marvel's Runaways' Season 3 Episode 4: Move over royal aliens, Morgan Le Fay is here to wreak havoc

Morgan Le Fay is ready to wreak havoc in Nico's life, in the third season of 'Marvel's Runaways'.

Things are getting out of hand in 'Marvel's Runaways' Season 3 Episode 4.

The Magistrate's son has taken complete hold of Alex (Rhenzy Feliz), and is determined to deliver Leslie (Annie Wersching) with her unborn child to his father Jonah at all costs. The Magistrate's son is a smarmy fellow, with a charming facade, and enjoys causing other people pain for the fun of it. It was quite interesting to see Alex in this avatar, as we've mostly seen him as the brainy guy caught in the most complicated situations.

However, Leslie goes into labor at this crucial juncture and he ends up taking her to Darius's wife Tamar (Ozioma Akagha), instead of the hospital. Leslie realizes that Alex is playing host to the alien and quietly informs Tamar to let the Runaways know where she is. Alien Alex catches wind of the plan, and there is an ugly scuffle as there is a competition between him and Tamar, on who knocks whom out. Tamar provides much unintentional and sassy comedy to the intense and dark moments and plays the role of a woman discovering aliens in her house, to perfection.

Just before alien Alex decides to murder Leslie then and there, the Runaways make a grand entrance and save the day...or well, almost. Alex escapes to his parents, and there is an epic showdown between the humans and the aliens. Just when all seems lost, Nico (Lyrica Okano) summons all her strength and courage and emerges the hero. But this is not as it seems.

It's darkness. Her friends are in awe right now, but they won't be soon.

But that's just it, about the third season of Runaways. Just when you think that problems have been resolved and things seem okay, you get a sharp punch in the gut. All is far from well, as Nico has been having conversations with Morgan Le Fay (Elizabeth Hurley), the mistress of darkness. The sorceress is demonic and is out to wreak havoc in Nico's life, while pretending to be a sort of guardian angel for her. Nico believes this ruse, as she somewhere feels that this could bring out the best in her and put her fears to rest. Nico's story arc is emerging as the best in the season so far, and the actress portrays the raw vulnerability of the teenager, trying to struggle with her demons as well as balance her personal life.

The Runaways have their hands full and clearly no moment of peace between aliens and witches. What next?

The romantic storyline between Chase (Gregg Sulkin) and Gert (Ariela Barer) serves as a sweet dessert between all the intense moments. Give in already, Gert!

'Marvel's Runaways' is streaming on Hulu.
