'Married at First Sight' Season 11: Experts care more about ratings than the couples, say disappointed fans

Fans took little time to comment that most of the couples won't work out on the show because they have not been matched well by the experts

'Married At First Sight' is in its 11th season this year and it prides itself on matching strangers who get married and live happily ever after. But, with every season, the success rate has only diminished. For instance, four out of five couples from Season 10 didn't stay married. One could sense they had issues from the start but experts weighed in with their two cents much later when it had reached the point of no return. The couples were already fighting over petty issues and experiencing distress in their relationship.

This week, as soon as 'Married At First Sight' Season 11 premiered, fans took little time to comment that most of the couples won't work out because they have not been matched well. Some were of the opinion that the experts — Pastor Calvin Roberson, Dr Viviana Coles and Dr Pepper Schwartz — who are responsible for pairing the couples, do it in a way that brings more ratings and viewership.

Brett and Olivia are easily the most mismatched couple, fans think. They feel that the two give off a Zach-Mindy (Season 10) vibe and will not stay married. Let's hope they are able to prove the popular opinion wrong and create their very own happily ever after.

"A complete joke casting Brett. You don't cast a 'serial dater' that is this shallow. Poor Olivia is in for a rude awakening. This show and the experts care more about drama and ratings than the best interest of the couples. Pathetic!! #MarriedAtFirstSight," a viewer shared. Another wrote: "I think part of the reason that the newer seasons of Married at First Sight have more tumultuous couples is because the experts have started matching them up to make better reality TV, not better couples #MarriedAtFirstSight."

"Every season a douchebag guy is paired with a sweet woman whose self esteem is going to be stomped on by him. If we can all see it from a few clips, why can’t the experts after extensive time with them? Feels like they do it on purpose for the ratings. #MAFS #MarriedAtFirstSight," a user tweeted.
