'Manifest' Season 2 Episode 3: Michaela might be happy about saving Zeke but Jared fans are not
As 'Manifest' came back with Season 2, Michaela Stone (Melissa Roxburgh) took a bullet to her chest when she came between Jared Vasquez (JR Ramirez) and Zeke Landon (Matt Long)'s scuffle. While Jared and Michaela shared cold vibes, Zeke was awash with guilt. First, he went into hiding but then he later turned himself in to the cops.
Even as he took the blame for the incident, Michaela dubbed him "innocent" and even claimed that "he tried to save her." After going to a great extent of looking for him, she finally found him and told him to contact the lawyer. Meanwhile, Jared kept trying to convince her how she should let it go.
However, Mich was just not ready to listen. "I am not trying to hurt you, truly, but I'm gonna help Zeke. And I'm going to do whatever it takes to do that. If you don't want to help me that is your choice, but be prepared," she told him, to which he replied, "Was that a threat?" Clearly, things are not good between the two.
"I am tired of being told to let this go. I'm not going to let this go. I am the one that took that bullet, I am the victim, and I am telling you that this man is innocent," she said in her testimony at the court. Towards the end of the episode, Michaela and Zeke share a hug after successfully releasing him from the prison. But Jared fans are not happy and are irked at Michaela for throwing him under the bus.
"I don't want z*kaela I want Jared Vasquez and Michaela Stone to be happy. #Manifest," one fan wrote and another said, "Michaela is spilling all the tea on Jared. She snitched on him to internal affairs? Wow. It be your own side chick." Another tweet read, "Don’t like the way Jared is being treated I’ve had enough. He deserves the world bye."
"I think Michaela made a mistake because I hate see that my poor Jared got hurt," one fan posted and another Twitter user posted what he thought the character might be going through, “I blew up my entire life for you!” Maybe it’s time to DETACH, Jared. #Manifest!"
As the next episode titled 'Unclaimed Baggage' airs Monday, January 27, 2020, it might further peek into Michaela's relationship with Jared.
