Officers in police stations across the world sometimes have some bizarre cases that leave themselves and the rest of the world completely shocked by a certain crime or its intensity. It is even rarer that the person who is responsible for the crime walks into a station and confesses to committing it in the first place. One such shocking video shows a man in India walking into a local police station and pulling out the severed head of his "cheating" wife from a black plastic bag and then confessing to murdering her. The man, who has been identified only as Satish, walked into the police station in Ajjampura in southern India while holding a machete in one hand and the bag with the head in the other. He proclaimed to the officers at the station that he had murdered his wife, Roopa.
The New Indian Express reported that one of the police officers present at the scene immediately took out his smartphone and started recording the strange confession on camera. The man can be seen putting the bag and the machete that he had been carrying on the ground and then pulling out his wife's head from the black plastic bag. He held up the head with one hand for the officers to see.
35-year-old Satish then declares to the officers present at the police station in the Chikkamagaluru district in the state of Karnataka: "This is my wife, sir. I gave her all the love I could." One of the officers can then be heard shouting: "Put it back inside!" The man complies and puts the severed head back inside the bag before telling them why he killed her.
He tells the police officers that his wife, Roopa, had been cheating on him and that he had lost his temper when he saw her and her lover together. Satish continues by telling the officers that Roopa had been cheating on him with his rival, Sunil. He said that both had been fighting about the relationship because Sunil is a manual worker who also has a criminal record. The man then finally told the officers that Roopa had even taken a loan for £3,170 (3,00,000 INR) for her alleged lover.
Satish, at first had tried to attack Sunil but the weapon missed hurting him and that's when he turned his anger onto his wife. After committing the gruesome deed, he rode his motorbike for over 20 kilometers to reach the police station where he made this startling confession. Satish and Roopa are parents to two children as well. A visibly agitated Satish also told the officers that he wouldn't think twice about going after her lover once he is released from prison even though killing him would see him back behind bars.
The officers then had to calm the man down so that they could start taking down his statement. The authorities have also launched a murder investigation. Inspector Ramachandra Nayak has said that Satish was taken into police custody after he showed the officers where his wife's body was kept. Superintendent Annamalai said: "Generally, in the Ajjampura area, whoever commits murder surrenders to the police but for someone to walk in and place a head on the sub-inspector's table was something new for us."
