Dog called 'Donald Trump' shot dead by his owner's neighbor but sheriff insists it wasn't over politics
After the news of the dog's shooting broke out, false claims began to circulate on social media saying that the dog was killed by the neighbor who is a Democrat
A dog named Donald Trump was shot by his owner's neighbor in Minnesota. However, the sheriff in Minnesota has declared that the animal's death was not politically motivated, unlike what was being suggested on social media.
He made this statement in view of the false claims that have been circulating on social media which have now led to "violent threats" being made against some of the county's residents. Some users on social media have claimed that a neighbor, who they believe is a Democrat, was the one who killed the pooch.
The Jackson County Sheriff's Office, however, has stated that the person who shot Trump the dog, on February 10, was "legally protecting their livestock" on private property. The shooter has still not been identified.
