Man charged for sexually abusing infant for seven months and filming the act

30-year-old Edd Lahar pleaded not guilty to the 25 separate sexual abuse charges against him and had his bail set at a whopping $1 million

An Oregon man arrested for allegedly sexually abusing an infant over a period of seven months and recording the act on his phone has pleaded not guilty to the 25 separate charges against him.

Thirty-year-old Edd Lahar from Corvallis was arrested on January 31, and after his not guilty plea on February 1 in Benton County Circuit Court, his bail was set at a whopping $1million.

Court documents show that the abuse had gone on for months, starting when the infant was less than two months old and continuing until the child was less than nine months old.

It is not clear how the accused knows the victim.

Investigations into the Lahar started on January 30 when the authorities received information that he had sexually explicit images of a child on his cell phone. The authorities said during the investigation that they served him a search warrant at his home and found more evidence of multiple sex crimes against an infant.
