Florida man slashes girlfriend's 4-year-old son's penis with fingernails, beats him up brutally
FLORIDA: A man has been accused of brutally and viciously attacking his girlfriend's 4-year-old son and cutting his penis with his fingernails.
The 26-year-old Mohammad Mahmoud Shaar who hails from Coconut Creek in Florida has been arrested and charged with aggravated child abuse after an alleged assault on February 13. As per photographs and a video clip taken by the child's babysitter, they reportedly show red marks on the child's face, neck, ears, and back.
An arrest report details the bruises and cuts on the child's penis. While being interviewed by the police, the child had reportedly shown them how Shaar had allegedly slapped and beaten him. The child also said that his genitals had been hurt by Shaar's fingernails. The arrest report read, "The victim also stated that the defendant pulled his penis and with a clenched jaw and tight fist, exhibited the way in which he was forcibly grabbed in the penile region."
The attack is believed to have occurred when Shaar was taking the child to the babysitter's house post dropping off his girlfriend at work in Oakland. According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, the drive to the babysitter's house was only around 1.6 miles but Shaar took around 20 minutes to reach there, Local10 reported.
The babysitter revealed that the child was traumatized, crying hysterically, and shaking when he arrived but Shaar immediately took off without giving any explanation as to what had happened. The arrest report stated that the boy told her that "Mo did it to him". The babysitter called the child's mother who called Shaar to find what happened. However, Shaar denied hurting the child in any way.
Later in the day, the babysitter saw the damage to the child's genitals when he was using the bathroom at a church function. The boy then said again, "Mo did it". The babysitter and the child's mother then took him to the Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale.
Shaar claimed that the red marks were caused as he tried to pat the child on the back because he was choking. He also claimed that the child injured his own genitals when he grabbed himself in the area as he needed to use the bathroom. He is being held at the Broward County Main Jail.
