What is the plot of Love & Jane (2024)?
As part of Hallmark's month-long tribute to the Queen of romance, Jane Austen, 'Love & Jane' centers around the unredeemable romantic Lilly. Lilly, who is also an avid reader and fan of the works of Jane Austen begins to wonder what it would be like to talk to her literary idol. Needless to say, her wish comes true, and voila Jane Austen appears with a fistful of wisdom and a petticoat plush with wit. But do Miss Austen's views on romance and love help Lilly find her own Prince Charming, or does Lilly realize that love between the pages of a classic doesn't necessarily translate to love off it?

Alison Sweeney
Alison Sweeney needs no introduction to fans of the soap opera 'Days of Our Lives' on which she played Sami Brady in over 3,000 episodes. Alison got her non-'DOOL' break in 1988's 'Family Man' where she starred alongside Richard Libertini and Mimi Kennedy. Alison then starred in the much-loved crime franchise 'Murder She Baked', playing Hannah in five TV movies before starring in the spinoff 'Hannah Swensen Mysteries' movies. She also plays Tracy Serchio in the beloved 'Wedding Veil' movie franchise.
Benjamin Ayres
With a career more prolific than Nicolas Cage trying to pay back the taxman, Benjamin Ayres' breakthrough role came as Jason Bartlett in 'Smallville'. He followed that up with roles in 'JPod', 'The Vampire Diaries' and 'Dan for Mayor'. Benjamin garnered a whole new host of fans after he played Dr Zachary Miller in the hit show 'Saving Hope'. Stints in 'Suits', 'Burden of Truth' and 'Family Law' followed.
Is 'Love & Jane' worth watching?
Hallmark's Loveuary is one of the most-watched TV events (take that Netflix) and the movies are thoroughly enjoyable. Whether you're a fan of Hallmark movies or simply a fan of lighthearted, albeit well-made, films then 'Love & Jane' is certainly worth watching. Sweeney and Ayres are both excellent actors and in David Weaver they have a dab hand in both directing and writing departments.
