'Love Island USA' Season 5 social host Maura Higgins drops 2 'bombshell' revelations and clues for new challenge
FIJI, OCEANIA: Maura Higgins has landed a new role in the 'Love Island' franchise after she captivated viewers' hearts with her stirring entry into the villa on Day 10 of Season 5 in 2019. Amber Gill and Greg O'Shea might have taken home the winning title, but Maura ruled over the viewers' hearts.
However, 'Love Island USA' returned for Season 5 with exciting new cast members and the premiere episode has already showcased multiple dramas. Bergie astounded viewers, but they can't wait for the next episode since he might make a surprise appearance after receiving a text at the end of the previous one. The audience's anticipation was further increased by Maura as she dropped "two bombshells."
What are the 'two bombshells' Maura Higgins revealed?
Soon after the premiere episode of 'Love Island USA' concluded with a shocking twist, Maura took to her social media to reveal 'two bombshells'. Maura shared two videos on her Instagram Stories. She started her video while recalling the disastrous moment of her time on the show. The television personality leaves a positive note in the dressing room as she doesn't want the girls to suffer the same that she had. However, she then moved to the other side of the villa where she got a note. She said, "Oh shall I read out? Ohh I'm not sure I can say it loud." Maura then read out the note, "It says two bombshells gonna in on night one." However, she then left the note in its place noting that she might get in trouble. Maura then continued her work as she hid the first hint which said, "Stir the pot" for the upcoming game. She then moved to the room to hide another clue, which reads, "Funny flutters." She hides the second note 'under the pillow of some lucky boy or girl.'
Although, Maura didn't reveal the exact 'two bombshells', there were two shocking twists in the premiere episode. During 'Love Island USA' Season 5, the couples had to vote for which of the couples they think is least compatible. The couple that receives the most votes will be vulnerable to elimination. Meanwhile, the other twist was that the girls could choose whether they wanted to 'stick or twist' by standing on the five hearts on the beach.

After weeks of dropping hints that Maura has been involved with the franchise again, the Irish star was officially confirmed as the new social ambassador for 'Love Island USA'. Maura will bring fans all the juicy behind-the-scenes gossip of 'Love Island USA'. She shared the announcement on her social media writing, "This just in… @maurahiggins will be your social ambassador this season bringing (sneaking) you the BTS scoop all summer!” Maura said in another post, "I'M BACK!!!!!!!!! Bringing you all the behind-the-scenes gossip live from Fiji for #LoveIslandUSA."

'Love Island USA' Season 5 premiered on Peacock on Tuesday, July 18. During premiere week, new episodes will be available to stream every day at 9 pm ET. Subsequently, new episodes will be released on Thursdays through Tuesdays on Peacock.
