Today Megan Thee Stallion is riding high on her success thanks to her several popular tracks like 'Savage', 'Hot Girl Summer' and 'WAP' among others. But before she became a household name, the young rapper decided to take a leaf from her fellow rapper Cardi B's book and decided to use reality television to get her ticket to fame and stardom.

The recently aired episode of 'Love & Hip Hop: Secrets Unlocked' special featured host Kendall Kyndall shocking all the cast members and fans when he revealed what he stumbled upon while scouring through old tapes and videos of 'Love & Hip Hop'. He teased the cast members about how a very popular rapper auditioned for a role on the show prior to becoming a big star.

The cast members couldn't guess and requested him to reveal who it was. That's when Kendall pulled out an old audition tape of Megan Thee Stallion.

In the video, Megan can be seen standing in front of the camera and declaring that she is going to be a very big rapper someday and that she would love to be on the show, and showcase her talents. The rapper talks very confidently about her skills and addresses herself as a young rapper from Texas who is still in college.

The cast members were left speechless on seeing Megan's audition tape. Finally, Erica Mena declared that the rapper's audition video was "manifestation at its finest", while Sukihana (who appeared on the 'WAP' video with Megan) joked about how Mona Scott Young "fumbled the bag" by not having the 'Savage' rapper on the show.

While the cast members felt that the executive producer of the show, Mona, made a huge mistake by not putting Megan on the show, fans felt otherwise. Several fans took to their social media to express how they were glad that the rapper didn't make the cut and end up on VH1's hit reality show, but instead focussed on growing her career.

A fan tweeted, "Mona petty asf for over lookin Megan for love nd hip hop but iknow Megan Glad asf she did  #LHHUnlocked." Another fan wrote, "I kinda wish Megan made it but im kinda glad she wasn't. #LHHUnlocked."

Another fan expressed, "It’s a good thing Megan didn’t end up on Love & Hip Hop. Her career might’ve never happened. Cardi B is the only one who truly achieved stardom after being on LHH (and no, K. Michelle doesn’t count! Sorry... she’s still B-list) #LHHUnlocked." "Megan Thee Stallion?! Now look she didn’t even need Love & Hip Hop #LHHUnlocked," joked a fan.

"Megan Thee Stallion tried to audition for Love & Hip Hop. I’m glad they passed on her. She flourished without the mess. #LHHUnlocked," pointed out a fan. Another commented, "Mona slept on Megan? Talking about playing yourself. #LHHUnlocked."
