It's the clash of the Los Angels stalwarts on Friday, August 14, as the Dodgers and the Angels face-off in a mouth-watering contest. The game is one of the much-anticipated weekend games along with the Yankees and Red Sox. For the Angels, this is their chance to get back on track after a torrid start to the season. Here's a quick primer of all details ahead of the battle of Los Angeles.

Time

The game is set to start off at 9.40 pm ET on Friday, August 14, 2020.

Venue

The Dodgers will take on the Angels at the Angel Stadium, Anaheim, CA.

Where to watch

The game can be watched live on SportsNet LA and SNLA Spanish. MLB.TV comes in as the other platform. You can also listen to the game on AM 570 LA Sports and KLAA 830.

How to live stream

Fans can catch the game on MLB. TV as well as the My Stream App. MLB.TV is still the most preferred app as it comes with a slashed price of $59.99 keeping in mind the shortened season. A complete subscription provides viewers with access to the full regular season, the playoffs and the World Series. Other options that viewers can look for is YouTube TV that gives access to ESPN, ESPN2, Fox, FS1, MLB Network and TBS at $64.99. Hulu and fuboTV are some similar options available.

Pre-buzz around the game

Mookie Betts will be the man to watch out for, especially after his record-tying 3 HRs within the first five innings against the San Diego Padres. This feat meant he now joins the elite club of Sammy Sosa and Johnny Mize in MLB history to have a record of six 3 HR games in his playing career. The Dodgers will be keeping an eye on Mike Trout who is well on his way to become one of the GOATs of the game. Here are a few stats from the O's v Angels game on August 10 that saw Trout help the team to a 10-9 win:

(i) Hit 2-run HR when trailing by 5 & go-ahead HR in the 8th

(ii) Tied for most multi-HR games (20) in Angels history

(iii) 58 HR over his last 162 games played

(iv) Batting .367 w/ 1.373 OPS & 6 HR as a Father (7 GP)

Who will win?

With the recent performance record in account, the Dodgers seem to be the choice of fans. However, there's also a possibility of Angels learning from their mistakes against the Athletics and pulling off an upset win against the Dodgers. We go with Angels at this stage.
