LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Nicolas Cage and Maika Monroe starrer 'Longlegs' is garnering positive reviews after its much-awaited theatrical release on July 12, 2024.

Set in the 90s, the film follows Lee Harker, an FBI agent, played by Maika Monroe. She is tasked to investigate a cold case involving a Satanic serial killer known as Longlegs (Nicolas Cage).

As she digs deeper and uncovers occult evidence, she discovers a personal link to the killer, forcing her to race against time to prevent another family murder.

Slash Film, in its review, has called 'Longlegs' "the most terrifying horror movie of 2024."

Meagan Navarro from Bloody Disgusting writes that the film "gets under your skin and festers like a putrid nightmare."

Director Osgood Perkins, known for his eerie and unsettling films like 'The Blackcoat’s Daughter' and 'Gretel & Hansel', brings his unique touch to 'Longlegs', delving into the unknown and unresolved fear about the nature of evil.

He taps into the irrational and unholy, introducing a pervasive air of dread and disorientation rather than predictable jump scares.

'Longlegs' brings together stellar cast and crew

Cast and crew are partly the reason why 'Longlegs' has turned out to be a masterpiece. Perkins, a horror fan favorite and son of Anthony Perkins (the star of 'Psycho'), brings a refreshing perspective to the genre.

Maika Monroe is already an established star within the horror and thriller genres. With her roles in 'It Follows', 'The Guest', and other horror films, she has gained the title of the scream queen.

As she returns in yet another horror film, with a fresh role, she delivers a standout performance as the earnest, anti-social FBI agent. Nicolas Cage is terrifying in his role as an elusive serial killer.

The film grips your attention within the first ten minutes, delivering some of the most unsettling scenes while promising a horrifying journey ahead.

'Longlegs' is definitely the scariest film of the decade and you must sign up for this cinematic experience.

How to stream 'Longlegs'?
