Live's Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos stunned as loud crash disrupts show, hosts hilariously suspect CIA
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The broadcast of ABC’s long-running chat show ‘Live with Kelly and Mark’ was interrupted owing to a loud crashing noise that erupted from backstage. The unexpected crash disrupted the proceedings on live air as host Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos instantly turned around to check what the entire commotion truly was.
The incident occurred during the show's most recent episode when Kelly and Mark were in the midst of a hilarious discussion about Mark and his family’s ties to an intelligence unit in the United States. And before they could continue further, a thundering crash halted their momentum, forcing them to turn around and look for its cause.
What caused the crashing noise on live air?
At the beginning of the show, Kelly revealed that she might have started a rumor that her husband and co-host, Mark, and his family were in the CIA. She said, "Maybe you are, maybe you aren't. I don't know, you'll never tell me." Kelly was entirely joking which brought out a huge laughter from Mark and the audience in the studio. However, while Kelly was on the topic, a loud bang occurred backstage, taking Kelly, Mark, and the entire audience by surprise.
The ‘Live!’ co-hosts turned to see what had happened. They looked concerned but were unable to determine or see the cause of the noise. They pondered for a bit and Kelly then pointed to the back and said, "See that? That means it's true,” taking the dig of Mark being in the CIA forward. However, the cause of the loud noise wasn’t instantly discovered but was later found to be a small malfunction that led to the disruption.
Kelly ventures outside 'Live' show
Ripa is hosting a comedy quiz game show named ‘Generation Gap’ which features family members of different generations who work together to answer questions about each other's generations. Apart from her stint as a host of a game show, Kelly also revealed recently that her critically acclaimed podcast 'Let's Talk Off Camera' had been voted number one. The host has described the podcast as "the show that goes on in my head when the cameras stop rolling. When speaking about the podcast, Kelly mentioned, “I get to ask the questions that I really want to know and talk to friends and experts about the topics I really want to discuss.” For Kelly, the conversations should feel "unfiltered and unhinged" which she believes that the podcast does brilliantly.
