Kelly Ripa gets real about ‘good luck’
During a recent episode of ‘Live with Kelly and Mark’, host Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos celebrated the Fourth of July and decorated the set with American flag-related ornaments such as balloons with US flag colors and the actual American flag. On the occasion of Independence Day, Kelly Ripa displayed her patriotic spirit with a t-shirt featuring the flag and a sparkly hairband reading "Yay USA.” As the show began, Mark Consuelos shared interesting facts about popular Fourth of July foods across states. To Kelly's surprise, ‘Riverdale’ star Mark revealed that baked beans were the top side-dish in her hometown, New Jersey, contrary to her initial belief that it was corn on the cob. While Kelly shared her childhood aversion to baked beans, Mark interrupted to remove the “little eyelash” from her cheek, melting the audience's hearts. Mark stated as he blew the eyelash into the air, “It’s good luck,” to which Kelly playfully remarked, “It's only good luck if it's a real eyelash,” drawing laughter from Mark and the crowd.
Kelly Ripa’s usual beauty blunders
Kelly has had her fair share of beauty blunders on the morning show, including a recent mishap with a spray tan because of which her hands “turned green.” While wearing a pale pink dress, she confessed to using a self-tanner backstage. However, the process didn't go as planned, and she ended up with green hands. Kelly humorously asked the audience, “I put on the dress, and I like this dress, but I look a little pale, so, I’ve got this spray-on self-tanner. No muss, no fuss. You just spray it right on.” She continued showing off her palms, “Suddenly, as I’m zipping back into the dress, I realize that my hands are now green, I have green hands!” Mark playfully commented on hands being the tell-tale sign of spray tans, adding, “I’ll let you know, I’ll let you know.” He continued, “The tell-tale sign of spray tan is the hands. You can always tell. But I don’t think you’re pale. I think it’s just in comparison to what you have to sit next to.” The lighthearted moment brought laughter from the crowd as Kelly jokingly teased her husband about his good skin adding, “How dare you mock me! It’s so unfair you have such good skin,” to which he smirked and replied, “I know, I’m sorry.”
