Lisa Armstrong and Ant McPartlin's divorce drama seems to be getting murkier as the weeks pass by. The freelance makeup artist earlier hinted that her friends have taken his side after Ant announced his decision to divorce Lisa in January. Although Lisa didn't mention names, those close to her said the couple's common friends haven't reached out to her after the separation.

In the past month, the 42-year-old has indirectly expressed her anger at Ant by liking a number of tweets that were in support of her. Lisa's social media activity became a source of interest to many who watched the estranged couple's divorce row being played out passively, and it hasn't seemed to end.

According to Daily Mirror, the producers of Ant and Declan Donnelley's Saturday Night Takeaway have asked her not to return to the variety show following the divorce announcement.

Lisa worked on past seasons of the ITV series for co-host Stephen Mulhern. She was very popular and a professional, a source said.

However, producers of Saturday Night Takeaway felt it would be awkward to have her back. "She works with Stephen a lot and they’re close, just as he’s close with Ant and Dec. But because of the set-up at the studios, it would be impossible for Lisa and Ant to avoid spending lots of time in the same room," the source said, adding, Ant would have reportedly blocked the move if he had known.

The comedian announced his decision to divorce Lisa in January after living apart for most of 2017. Last year, Ant spent months in rehab for his addiction to prescription painkillers and alcohol and didn't stay with his estranged wife once he got out. According to reports, he spent Christmas and New Year's with his mom in Newcastle.

Ant and Lisa first met in 1994 at a pop concert at New Castle's townhall and tied the knot twelve years later, in 2006. The couple, who've known each other for the past 23 years, has now decided to part ways.

Even as the divorce seems final for Ant, the makeup artist was seen with her wedding ring just recently. Lisa was spotted with the gold wedding band on her left hand as she was leaving a celebration for the late Sir Bruce Forsyth at the London Palladium on Wednesday, February 22.
