Who is Stat Quo?

Stat Quo’s legal name is Stanley Bernard Benton and he hails from Thomasville Heights, a neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia. The rapper and record producer was discovered by Dr Dre and Eminem in the year 2003- thanks to his ‘Underground Atlanta’ mixtapes. After 50 Cent, Stat Quo was the second and only other artist to date to get signed by Shady Records and Aftermath Entertainment.

Stat Quo’s debut album ‘Statlanta’ was first supposed to get released in 2003 but due to creative differences with Eminem, it ultimately came out in 2010 without any record label. What did Lil Xan say about Stat Quo?

Lil Xan, who is now reportedly clean, openly accused Stat Quo of getting him into drugs. In his Instagram Live video, the ‘Betrayed’ hitmaker while talking about Lil Peeps’ death, said, “Do you guys remember the whole Lil Peep, the story when his management was giving him drugs and it just wasn’t helping out and all that?” He continued, “That happened to me on tour. My manager, well I don’t even like to call him my manager anymore, Stat Quo, remember that name, Stat Quo.”

Lil Xan shared that whenever he experienced withdrawals, Stat Quo would shell out thousands of dollars to get the substances sent to wherever they were on tour. “He’s gonna act like he didn’t do that, like a f**kin’ hypocrite, and I’m really feeling like I should take him to court because that was a time I almost died from the drugs.”, said Xan. He added, “I was so skinny, unhealthy. Yeah, but his name is Stat Quo, I’ll even f**kin’ pin this right here. … Also, he took my car away, too, that I paid the majority of the money. … Now he wants $30,000 of the remaining money to pay it off. It’s literally all my money in the car and he won’t give it to me.”

In an Instagram post, Xan further shed light on his drug addiction saying, “So glad I could finally bring this story to light, and I putting 100% of the blame on him? no I was a drug addict how could I! Am I telling you that he was doing nothing but speeding up my drug use by supplying my the very pills that could’ve killed me? YES !”  Xan added, “I’m making this public because I know in my heart this happens way to often and it’s how we end up losing some of the greatest artist way to young...These people must answer for there crimes,I remember days on tour my security would have to check on me to see if I was still breathing!” The rapper concluded, “But as long as I was medicated enough to get on stage and make that bag for me and the team everything was all good lol what a joke.”
