‘Love & Hip Hop: Miami’: Fans ask Shay to 'shut the f*** up' for blaming Amara for Emjay's failed career

As Amara opens up about her break-up, Shay ends up blaming her for never letting Emjay focus on his own career and supporting hers and fans seem upset about that

Emjay’s sister Shay Johnson isn’t very happy about her brother’s breakup from Amara La Negra. The previous episode of ‘Love & Hip Hop: Miami’ saw Amara calling things off with Emjay, after learning about his previous relationship with a woman named Anne. Amara hears from Anne about how “manipulative” Emjay was, and how he used her for money. Fearing that their relationship might be leading down the same dangerous path, Amara decides to end things with Emjay.

On the latest episode, we saw Amara go out for a relaxed spa day, with her best friend Jojo Zarur and Shay. All Amara wants to do is vent about her breakup, but she, unfortunately, could not due to Shay’s presence. Amara, however, brings up the topic of her breakup and explains to Jojo what made her do it. However, Shay butts in and gives her two cents about how Amara believed a woman from his past and made decisions instead of trusting him.

Amara then tries explain it to Shay about the similarities she saw between her experiences with Emjay and what his ex-girlfriend Anne had said. However, Shay gets annoyed and points out that Emjay gave his all to their relationship, to the point that he gave up his career for her. Amara tries pointing out that it was a choice he made to support her instead of pursuing his own career, despite her nudging him to focus on his own career. Shay didn’t seem to agree with Amara and blames Amara for being the reason why Emjay doesn’t have a career.

Fans called out Shay for blaming Amara for Emjay’s career not “popping off”. A fan tweeted, “Shay shut the f*** up.... its not Amara’s damn fault that Emjay’s career is some shit. That grown a** man chose to be so “supportive” of her.... she didn’t ask for that sh*t  #LHHMIA.” Another fan wrote, “Shay has to be some kinda stupid talking about Emjay’s option was to help Amara in her career rather than handle his own financial situation girl you should “Choose the SHUT YO DUMB A** UP Option! Wtf #LHHMIA.”

Several fans began questioning if Emjay even had a career before Amara. An annoyed fan expressed, “Shay you know your brother is TRASH and so are you. He put his career on hold, what career??!! #LHHMIA,” Another fan echoed similar thoughts with, “Emjay's choice was to focus on Amara's career Shay?  Stop the b.s. That is a grown man.  I'm not understanding how he put his career aside to focus on someone he is not even married to.  Sounds like he didn't have much of a career to focus on in the 1st place. #LHHMIA #LHHMiami.” “Emjay ain't have a career BEFORE Amara, f*** is Shay talking about #LHHMIA,” wondered a fan.
