CLARKSVILLE, TENNESSEE: A former high school nurse has been arrested on child pornography charges for photographing over 40 girl students undressing in the bathroom. Leon Hensley worked as a nurse at North East High School in Clarksville for two years during which the alleged incident took place. All of his victims were aged between 12 and 17 years and were clicked in nude or partially nude situations.
Hensley, 40, was arrested on May 20, 2021, from his current residence in Lake Wales, Florida. He was reportedly found with over 700 objectionable photos of juvenile girl students from the school. The seized photos were all captured through a hidden camera placed in a school bathroom.

Who is Leon Hensley?
Hensley worked as a nurse in the school between August 2017 and November 2019. He first came under police radar in 2019 after a complaint was filed against him with the Department of Child Services for allegedly sending the photo of a nude woman to a juvenile. He also sought the minor's help with a photoshoot posing for nude images. He was fired later by school authorities.
After police officials searched his home with a warrant, they discovered several electronic devices like a cell phone and a covert video camera. More than 700 photographs of minor female students were found in 'various states of undress' in the bathroom. There were some photos of them 'utilizing bathroom facilities', according to the criminal complaint. Some of the photos were even labeled with the students' names and were stored in a folder on his phone titled 'NEHS' (North East High School).
Hensley's hard drives had over 500,000 images and videos which the investigators are currently probing for further details.
The hidden camera was placed in a private bathroom for girl students located outside the nurse's office where Hensley was deputed. The prosecutors mentioned that the camera was positioned directly across from the toilet seat. "The camera was positioned in such a manner as to capture or attempt to capture the lewd and lascivious display of the genitalia and positioned in the same location in all of the images," they stated in a press release.
Moreover, other nude photos of women have also been found in Hensley's possession. These are believed to be from his previous jobs at hospital exam rooms. Hensley appeared before a Magistrate Judge in Tampa for arraignment. If convicted, he can face a minimum sentence of 15 years or even life imprisonment.
