Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump has claimed that they will do “whatever is necessary” to uncover election fraud. The 38-year-old also said that the president’s campaign is "open" to states overriding electoral votes. Lara appeared for an interview on Fox News, where she shared her disappointment with the 2020 presidential election result.

The Trump 2020 campaign senior adviser said, as reported by The Sun, “Well, I think that the general effort is to make sure that this election was free and fair and that every legitimate vote gets counted. Last time I checked, the people were still in charge of the United States of America and there are about 74 million people out there who do not feel like the result of this election that has been presented is accurate." She continued, “Something is wrong. We have been trying to get to the bottom of it from the Trump campaign and we just want the right thing to happen - all the legitimate votes to be counted."

During the interview, Lara spoke about the number of votes Joe Biden received but she also condemned the former vice president for his inability to "scrape together 12 people to go to a campaign event." When on Fox News she was asked, “To what extent do you think the campaign will go. Will it go to the state legislators?" The mother-of-two replied: “Well that's a possibility. Look, we've obviously been putting forward lawsuits across the country in states that we feel like there were really egregious violations of people's rights and the way this election process played out. And we're open to anything. We again want the right thing to happen here and so far you've seen the fraud that has been uncovered. We're open to doing whatever is necessary to make sure that this election happened in the proper way and, again, that every legal vote gets counted."

Besides, Lara also alleged that people who are not alive anymore had cast votes in this year’s election. However, there is no evidence of these claims. A number of people took to Twitter to react to the statement made by the former producer of TV show ‘Inside Edition’ as one tweeted, “This is treason.” A second one said: “These people will stop at nothing. It’s time that people who support our Democracy step up and tell them to quit the crap.”

“Seriously, isn't this just adding to the growing list of crimes he'll go down for once he doesn't have presidential protection?” the third person on the social media site commented. “I wouldn't expect anything less from her. She will do anything to keep her meal ticket safe from prosecution and certain conviction. Sadly for her, she will soon be irrelevant again,” the fourth user wrote while the fifth one added: “That would be illegal, unconstitutional and a willful attempt to nullify the votes of the American people who voted for Biden & which undermines democracy, he wants them to switch the votes just because he wants it? He lost the 30 court cases cus he..has..no...evidence!”
