'Kingdom' Season 1, the Netflix original Korean show received praise from across the globe for its interesting premise. That of humans turning into zombies in the Joseon period just a few years after the Japanese invasion between 1592 and 1598. The show is a political-supernatural thriller that sees Crown Prince Lee Chang attempt to save his father, the king, from a disease that has put him out of action. Upon trying to uncover the conspiracy, Lee Chang came upon the citizens who had contracted the same plague in the southern provinces of Joseon where he tries to find the source of this plague. The first season saw Lee Chang attempt to stop the plague from spreading any further than it already has.

In continuation, season 2 will see how Lee Chang plans on bringing the Undead army to an end. The teaser, which was released on Tuesday, features Lee Chang's promise that this time, he will stop them (zombies) but the overwhelming number of humans affected by the 'undead plague' doesn't look promising. Then we see nurse Seo-bi (Bae Doo-na) who helped Lee Chang in the first season observe that the creatures follow the trail of human blood and are maddened by it too.

While Lee Chang's aim was to stop the plague from spreading as far as Hanyang, which is where the palace is; it looks like he didn't succeed because we see a number of zombies attacking the palace as the humans inside cower in fear while trying to defend themselves. This time around, Lee Chang is also hoping to save the people of Sangju and fight for them.

The action-packed trailer also shows how Lee Chang might also be open to joining hands with someone to stop the onslaught of the plague. While the plague in itself is something that Lee Chang must face; it is also the people behind spreading the plague that he has to confront. As the Crown Prince, will Lee Chang be able to find a way to stop Minister Cho Hak-ju (Ryu Seung-ryong) and his supporters? After all, he is the man who is controlling not only the plague but the King who is sick as well.

The citizens of Joseon were led to believe that their King had died at the beginning of season 1, but we saw a monster living in the king's quarters when Lee Chang sneaked in. That was what had led to Lee Chang's journey towards the South, in the first place. Now, though, he must destroy Hak-ju and everyone on his side in one fell swoop if he hopes to salvage the situation that is currently out of hand.

The teaser hints at a confrontation between Hak-ju and the queen who has taken over the throne in Lee Chang's absence. We see Lee Chang challenge the queen as he tells her that the chair that she is seated on is not her place to be.

The second season of 'Kingdom' will premiere March 13 on Netflix.
