Kim Kardashian admits to being embarrassingly obsessed with fame and money, says she's now focusing on prison reform
After being in the spotlight for more than 10 years, Kim Kardashian West is now one of the most recognized faces on the planet. The 'Keeping Up with The Kardashians' star now boasts of millions of fans and followers who watch her every move on social media platforms and her reality TV show.
She recently admitted that she was "obsessed" with fame and desperately chased after it. While doing a candid interview with her husband Kanye West, Kim opened up about her thoughts on fame.
During the interview for the September issue of Vogue Arabia, Kim shared, "Money was always the goal but I was obsessed with fame, like, embarrassingly obsessed. I do agree that fame can be addictive. But now, my focus has shifted."
She now has 16 successful seasons of the reality TV show 'KUWTK' with the premiere of the 17th season less than two weeks away. Over the years, Kim has been open and vocal about her stance on marriages, babies, breakups and other personal aspects of her life with the public and says that she has no regrets when it comes to it.
"People have shared with me over the years how much it has helped them to feel less alone when dealing with their own adversity," she revealed.
Kim further added that she loves that she has a voice and really appreciates the platform that she has been given though she revealed that sometimes she wishes she had a little more privacy.
Currently, the mother of four has focused all of her energy on prison reform and is working on taking the bar exam in 2022. "My goal would be in like, 10 years, to give up being Kim K and just focus on this and be an attorney and fight for so many deserving people," Kim shared.
Recently, Kim decided to rename her controversial shapewear line from Kimono to SKIMS Solutionwear given the backlash and outrage that the original name had sparked over cultural appropriation. SKIMS is set to be released on September 10 of this year. "I love the idea that the pieces will be the closest thing to someone’s skin, skimming with amazingly soft and supportive fabrics which accentuate the best parts of our bodies," Kim shared.
