Kim Kardashian sizzles in traditional Indian attire on Vogue India cover
The reality star set temperatures soaring in her latest Vogue India cover and revealed what she likes about the country.
Kim Kardashian is stunning in Vogue India's March Issue. This is the 37-year-old's first cover for the fashion bible's India edition and suffices it to say that she's carried off traditional Indian attire with grace and elegance. Kim is seen wearing Indian designer Anita Dongre's beige lehenga with deer motifs and a red blouse. The muted colors on the two-piece complement her platinum blonde hair and her Estaa earrings make quite an impression.
In another picture, Kim dazzles in another Indian designer duo, Falguni and Shane Peackock's golden peplum dress.
This is perhaps the first time that we've seen Kim in Indian clothes, but not everyone's impressed. On Twitter, many attacked the fashion magazine for choosing an international celebrity instead of an Indian model or a Bollywood star. One person wrote, "Kim Kardashian in a lehenga. India is rich with woman idols. Gorgeous women of substance and beauty. They picked. Kim." Another wrote, "Y’all only care about this when it’s a Kardashian/Jenner but not anyone else at least hold the same viewpoints when they put other non Indians on the covers."
Hey just wondering why Gucci has white people wearing turbans? Oh, also why is Kim Kardashian on the cover of vogue India..— mya (@whoismya) February 27, 2018
so many pretty Indian models out there and Vogue India somehow chooses kendall jenner and kim kardashian for their covers. How hard is it to have Indian women represent Indian culture.— n (@nxvyaa) February 27, 2018
- FIRST OF ALL, WHY IS VOGUE INDIA ASKING KIM KARDASHIAN TO MODEL FOR THEM???— Shruti (@Snallappa72) February 27, 2018

Of all the women Vogue India could have chosen to represent our culture and style...they picked Kim Kardashian— abhi shah (@Brownlizard24) February 27, 2018

However, Kim said she loved doing the photo shoot for Vogue India. "The saris, the jewelry, the clothes—everything was so beautiful!" Kim said about the cover shoot to Vogue's Mira Jacob. The mother-of-three said she wanted to bring her family down to the country and film at least one episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians in India.
Kanye's wife also spilled the deets on what qualities make an 'uber Kardashian'. Kim revealed, "My brother’s sense of humor. Kendall’s sweetness. Khloé’s I-don’tgive-a-f*** attitude. Kourtney’s savviness around finances. Kylie’s ability to just go for it and not care what other people’s opinions are. And my mom’s nurturing."
Kim also spoke about which personality quirks she would take away from her siblings. The KKW Beauty founder said her pregnant sister Khloe is "getting too sensitive" and she would definitely take away Kendall's anxiety, Kylie’s "I don’t care, I know what I’m doing" thing, Kourtney's stubborn behavior and perhaps her brother’s moody temperament.
