As people celebrate Pride Month, many were shocked and saddened by the deaths of Riah Milton and Dominique “Rem’Mie” Fells. Milton was from Ohio and Fells was from  Pennsylvania, according to reports.

Milton was reportedly shot and killed during a robbery in Liberty Township, Ohio, on June 9. She was a student at the University of Cincinnati and worked as a home health aide. While two were arrested and charged with her murder, the third person was not convicted.

Meanwhile, Fells was found dead in Philadelphia a day earlier. Her death was ruled a homicide and police are still investigating the case. Hearing the news, Kim Kardashian shared a post where she tweeted, "BLACK TRANS LIVES MATTER!". The post shared the pictures of Milton and Fells.

It further stated, "I believe in the Trans life, the Holy spirit fo self, the Holytransfuturistic church, the communion of grief and joy, our forgiveness to this society, the resurrection of transcestors and life everlasting. I believe in trans life because we ascended from a Nuanced possibility and sit at the right hand of each other and make of our flesh the kindred Almighty."

The deaths of Milton and Fells comes after President Donald Trump said his administration would be eliminating an Obama-era regulation that prohibited discrimination in health care against patients who are transgenders, as reported by CNN.

The statement by the US Department of Health and Human Services stated that "certain provisions of the 2016 Rule that exceeded the scope of the authority delegated by Congress in Section 1557. HHS will enforce Section 1557 by returning to the government's interpretation of sex discrimination according to the plain meaning of the word 'sex' as male or female and as determined by biology."

It further read, "The 2016 Rule declined to recognize sexual orientation as a protected category under the ACA, and HHS will leave that judgment undisturbed."

Seeing how Kardashian had come forward in support of black trans people, fans were quick to praise her. "Thanks for speaking out always. I love you and your whole family," wrote one. Another added, "You are a great woman. I admire you so much, queen."
