NASHVILLE, PENNSYLVANIA: Kid Rock called TV personality Oprah Winfrey a "fraud" and denounced her for endorsing Democrat candidate John Fetterman over her long-time friend Dr Mehmet Oz.

Slamming the TV icon, the ‘First Kiss’ singer on Saturday, November 5, tweeted, “Oprah helped Dr. Oz with his career. I assume because she vetted him and found him to be a wonderful person. No, Oprah Winfrey is not dead: Sick HOAX message DEBUNKED

Winfrey, earlier this week, chose her side and announced she was endorsing Democratic Lt Gov John Fetterman over Republican Dr Mehmet Oz in the Pennsylvania Senate race. The announcement came as surprise for many as Oz first came to prominence as a health expert on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' before he got his own talk show in 2009. And even that show was produced by Winfrey's company Harpo.

"I’ll tell you all this, if I lived in Pennsylvania, I would have already cast my vote for John Fetterman for many reasons," Winfrey said during a virtual conversation with community leaders. Using Winfrey’s support as a weapon, Fetterman’s campaign said her support for the Democrat over Oz "speaks volumes." "Oprah is widely regarded as the person who helped launch Dr Oz’s career, and knows him well," the campaign added, according to Fox News.

Fetterman also acknowledged her support and reportedly said, "She is a leader on so many issues — fighting for our democracy, passing common-sense gun reform, and ensuring racial justice. I’m grateful for Oprah’s support and trust on the issues that matter to people across the country and Pennsylvania as we close out this campaign."

"Doctor Oz loves Oprah and respects the fact that they have different politics," Rachel Tripp, senior communications adviser for the Oz campaign, told Fox News in an emailed statement. "He believes we need more balance and less extremism in Washington."

However, this is not the first time when Kid Rock has publically criticised Winfrey. Back in 2019, he performed at Nashville honky-tonk, where he chanted, "F**k Oprah Winfrey and f**k Joy Behar." He also attacked Kathie Lee Gifford, though he explained that attack was unintentional, as he meant to direct his words to comedian Kathy Griffin. "I don't apologize to anybody. I'm not an Oprah Winfrey fan. I got drunk and f****in' next thing, I'm on stage [saying] f**k Oprah," the musician explained.
