Kellyanne Conway slams Biden for ‘lying’ about her saying violence, chaos helps Trump: ‘Don't sniff my hair’

Kellyanne Conway lambasted Joe Biden after he claimed during the first presidential debate that the 53-year-old said violence and chaos helped Donald Trump. In response, Conway called Biden a liar and also made a reference to inappropriate behavior allegations against him. Taking to Twitter, Trump’s former campaign manager wrote: “Thanks for debate shout-out, creepy/sleepy/weepy JOE, but you lied. And don't sniff my hair, either.”

On Tuesday night, September 29, Biden and Trump came face to face to argue their cases in Cleveland's Case Western Reserve University in Ohio, which was moderated by Chris Wallace from Fox News. During the 90-minute debate, the Democratic nominee reportedly said, “His own former spokesperson said, you know, riots, chaos and violence help us and violence help his cause. That's what this is all about.” When Trump asked whom Biden was quoting, he replied: “Kellyanne Conway." To which, the 74-year-old said, “I don't think she said that."

As per reports, Conway actually said this while appearing on ‘Fox and Friends’ on August 27: “The more chaos and anarchy and vandalism and violence reigns, the better it is for the very clear choice on who's best on public safety and law and order."

Conway’s “don’t sniff my hair” reference was reportedly a reference to an accusation made by former Democratic Nevada state assemblywoman Lucy Flores against Biden. In 2019, Flores wrote in New York Magazine's The Cut, “Just before the speeches, we were ushered to the side of the stage where we were lined up by order of introduction. As I was taking deep breaths and preparing myself to make my case to the crowd, I felt two hands on my shoulders. I froze. ‘Why is the vice-president of the United States touching me?’"

“I felt him get closer to me from behind. He leaned further in and inhaled my hair. I was mortified. I thought to myself, ‘I didn’t wash my hair today and the vice-president of the United States is smelling it. And also, what in the actual fuck? Why is the vice-president of the United States smelling my hair?’ He proceeded to plant a big slow kiss on the back of my head. My brain couldn’t process what was happening. I was embarrassed. I was shocked. I was confused. I couldn’t move and I couldn’t say anything. I wanted nothing more than to get Biden away from me. My name was called and I was never happier to get on stage in front of an audience.”

She added: “He made me feel uneasy, gross, and confused. The vice-president of the United States of America had just touched me in an intimate way reserved for close friends, family, or romantic partners — and I felt powerless to do anything about it.”

Biden responded to Flores' allegations and claimed he has "offered countless handshakes, hugs, expressions of affection, support and comfort" while on the campaign trail and in public life. He added: “And not once - never - did I believe I acted inappropriately. If it is suggested I did so, I will listen respectfully. But it was never my intention."
