Fans are urging JYP to do better even after they confirmed K-pop band Stray Kids will be getting tested for Covid 19. Here’s why.

JYP Entertainment released a statement confirming that Stray Kids will be getting tested for Covid-19 after the group shared the same stage in Inkigayo, a music program broadcast by SBS with UP10TION, another K-pop band whose member has been tested positive for Covid-19. However, the incident already sparked outrage on social media alleging JYP Entertainment’s lack of responsibility towards the group members.

JYP Entertainment has been receiving the wrath of fans on social media. As SKZ fans took to social media to share their concerns and frustration regarding the situation, news involving GOT7, another boy group of the same company getting mistreated fueled the fire even more. According to GOT7 fans, the group's new album, 'Breath of Love: Last Piece' is to be released on November 30 and JYPE has been lacking in the promotion. The band members are doing a lot more than the Entertainment giant, they said.

Fans are taking to Twitter to appreciate Mark Tuan, a GOT7 member’s effort to promote their new comeback album ‘Breath of Love: Last Piece’ while also raising a few issues regarding the album promotions. A Korean report stated that even before releasing the album, Hottracks, one of the biggest album selling sites is showing the album to be sold out resulting in its apparent removal from the site.

Along with that, JYPE hasn’t released any teaser for the music video and reportedly will not hold any showcase for GOT7’s album release. A case of negligence on the company's part, users are stating.

Fans are also not happy regarding JYPE’s promotional tactics as they post their opinions on the microblogging site. A fan stated,  “How many times are jype and you @followjyp going to trend? until you understand you can’t keep pretending your management team is perfect and that you’re ignoring the fact that GOT7 is your most “internationally” popular group not to mention overworking SKZ.”

Another fan said, “jype and div2 we actually don't need you, we just want you to be professionals cause it's your job anyway to promote their comeback... But look, they are way better in promoting than you do... THEY CAN SURVIVE WITHOUT YOU, I THINK YOU NEED TO KNOW THAT!!!!” A fan posted, “No because JYPE’s disdain for got7 has to be personal. This doesn’t make any sense”, to which another user replied, “probably because they don’t put up with jype’s bullsh*t like all of other groups and speak up when they don’t like something/when something isn’t right. jype seems petty like that.”

GOT7 fans have come to appreciate Mark, a GOT7 member who has been promoting the album through his personal profile. A fan shared, “GOT7 has a cute manager named Mark Tuan. he is so supportive to his group and the fact that he promotes GOT7 better than the jype itself. that's him, btw. he's cute.”  Another Mark appreciation post read, “bruh the fact that mark and bambam are doing more than jyp div2 to promote this album rn...................................HELLOOOOO??? anyway everyone album release in 3 hours :))))”

‘Breath of Love: Last Piece’ is releasing on Monday, November 30, at 6 pm KST.
