President Donald Trump was greeted with jeers and boos on Thursday, September 24, when he visited the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's flag-draped coffin outside the apex court. As soon as the POTUS, accompanied by First Lady Melania, entered the ceremony wearing a black face mask, a crowd that had gathered to honor the liberal justice started booing and chanting "vote him out". The chanting continued as the POTUS stood near the casket at the marble court building.

Trump who has already introduced two top court picks since taking office in 2017, earlier said that he would reveal his latest choice on Saturday, September 26, a week after the 87-year-old Justice Ginsburg died on September 18, 2020. His decision to move quickly on a replacement less than two months before the election has drawn sharp battle lines between the two political parties and reshaped the race as Trump seeks re-election during a Covid-19 pandemic that has killed over 200,000 people in the United States and devastated the economy. As soon as the incident took place, people started sharing videos of the incident on twitter, as Canadian ice hockey coach Jon Cooper shared a video and said, "After being met with loud boos and repeated chants of “Vote him out!” on the steps of the Supreme Court, Trump returned to the Oval Office and curled up in a fetal position."

Soon more people started reacting to the video, as one Internet user commented, "This gives me hope. I know the outcome of this election has eff all to do with me, but I’ve never been so worried for another country in all my life. Praying for you America." Noting his expressions, another said, "He actually looks confused. Like at first he didn’t know who they were talking about. And then he looked like he wanted to hide."

While some called him a scam artist and said, "There has never been a bigger scam artist than Trump the bullsh*tter. He is the hoax. He is the virus. He is the sucker. He is the loser. He is the liar. He is the racist. He is the rapist. He is the grifter. He is Individual 1. He is impeached. He is #KingCon #VoteHimOut." While another said, "Donald Trump wasn’t “paying his respects” to Ruth Bader Ginsburg! Firstly, he has NO respect for anyone! Secondly, he was doing a photo-op! He DESERVED to get booed! #HonorHerWish #VoteHimOut."

One quipped, "OMG--Trump is standing outside where Justice Ginsberg is lying in state, and he has his mask pulled up to his closed eyes, and is weaving back and forth. He must've hit the Adderall HARD. Hearing women chanting "Vote him out!!!" has given me new life this morning. #VoteHimOut!" Another claimed that the late justice would have approved the chants, "Trump & Melania Trump at the Supreme Court as Americans boo & shout "Vote him out!" Trump is unsteady as he gets a taste of how the majority of Americans feel about his grotesque & corrupt occupation of our government #RuthBadenGinsburg would approve."
