Justin Bieber steps out for the first time for friend Patrick Schwarzenegger's movie premiere after Selena Gomez split

Justin Bieber, who is currently on a break from his relationship with Selena Gomez, stepped out for the first time after his break to support his friend Patrick Schwarzenegger for his debut movie's premiere.
The 24-year-old singer made an appearance on Thursday night to support his good friend Patrick Schwarzenegger at the premiere of Schwarzenegger's new movie, Midnight Sun, at the ArcLight in Hollywood, California.
However, the 'Sorry' singer seemed to be quite low, given his casual attire at a high-profile event like a movie premiere. The 'What Do You Mean' crooner was dressed in black slacks and a matching sweatshirt while posing for group photos on the red carpet with boy-pal Patrick.
"He's such a great guy," Schwarzenegger said. "I'm just really blessed to call him a friend, he's a really great guy… I'm really happy he came to support me and I'll support him throughout his life."
After some solo shots on the red carpet, Justin even joined his friend for several more photos, though he didn't seem very happy, perhaps still reeling from his split with Selena.
And although it still isn't clear on what actually happened to get them to split, a source close to the family told Us Weekly, "Selena and Justin decided to take a break mainly because of Selena’s mom and her disapproval of Justin."
"Justin's family loves Selena, but Selena’s family has put her in a very conflicting spot because they still don’t trust Justin. Selena has tried to convince her family that Justin has changed … but her family just isn’t budging right now."
The red carpet event marked a rare appearance for the singer, who has shied away from Hollywood related events over some time now. His last major public outing was the 2018 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game at Staples Center in Los Angeles last month.
