NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Missouri Senator Josh Hawley questioned Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas about antisemitic content shared on social media by some of his staff members during a Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee hearing on Tuesday, October 31, 2023.

It was reported that the posts were made shortly after the attacks on Israeli civilians on October 7, and Hawley shared an example of one post that depicted a member of Hamas paragliding into Israel.

Following this, Fox News anchor Sean Hannity took to X, formerly Twitter, to report on an exchange between Hawley and Mayorkas.

The internet, however, did not respond positively to his allegations and slammed Hawley for his words and called him a “drama queen.”

Josh Hawley confronted Alejandro Mayorkas, reports Sean Hannity

Fox News anchor Sean Hannity took to X and wrote, “MAYORKAS: “To suggest that that is emblematic of the men and women of the Department of Homeland Security is despicable!” HAWLEY: “This person WORKS for the Department of Homeland Security!”

Hannity’s tweet featured an article from his official website titled “HAWLEY SMOKES MAYORKAS: DHS Sec Confronted Over Anti-Israel Rhetoric in His Department [WATCH].”

In the article, a video of the conversation between Josh Hawley and Alejandro Mayorkas was also attached where Hawley said, “This is an Asylum and Immigration Officer who is posting these frankly pro-genocidal slogans and images on the day that Israelis are being slaughtered in their beds. What have you done about this? What have you done about this?”

To which, Mayorkas responded, “To suggest that that is emblematic of the men and women of the Department of Homeland Security is despicable!”

Hawley then screamed, “This person WORKS for the Department of Homeland Security!”

Internet dubs Josh Hawley ‘drama queen’

After Sean Hannity shared the video of the heated conversation between Josh Hawley and Alejandro Mayorkas, the internet brutally slammed the Senator.

One person wrote, “I don't want to hear from Hawley until he submits a border security bill. He's all talk,” while another said, “Hawley is a Disgrace!”

One person called out Hawley and wrote, “Hawley represents the worst in Congress.  He supported the insurrection.  He's there for himself and no one else. Part of the Republican Angertainment industry.”

One more added, “Hawley got PWNED big time for this,” while another said, “Hawley is such a drama queen.”

“Hawley, the most beta dude in Congress, simply made a complete a** out of himself,” said another.
