'The Bachelorette': 5 people who can replace host Chris Harrison: Nick Viall to Rachel Lindsay, here's a roundup
'The Bachelorette' is about to see host Chris Harrison step out from hosting duties temporarily, in the upcoming episodes. The recent season was shot during the ongoing pandemic but with all necessary regulations and restrictions in place. All contestants were rigorously tested for Covid-19 and were required to follow the 14-day quarantine period before they could begin filming for the season that was shot at a Palm Springs resort, entirely, a first in 'Bachelorette' history.
Harrison had left the bubble to take his son to college and immediately there were questions raised as to how's will he continue shooting for the season if he's stepped out. Sources close to the show confirmed that the rules remain the same for everyone and Harrison would once again require to quarantine for 14-days before he could film again. Turns out he was not as indispensable as people thought and the show went on without him, even though temporarily. Replacing him was 'Bachelorette' JoJo Fletcher who had already completed the quarantine, according to E!. JoJo is not the only Bachelor alum to make an appearance this season but Becca Kufrin and Hannah Ann Sluss are also reportedly going to be making an appearance. Probably these are the ladies, Clare Crawley is seen hugging and crying in their arms in the trailer of the recent season after her suitors age-shame her and treated to stage a walk-out.
However, all that is seen and done and is a part and parcel of every 'Bachelor/Bachelorette' season. But what is a rare phenomenon is Harrison moving away from hosting the show for some time, something that has never happened since the inception of the show, way back in 2002. Harrison does have fans of his own, however, he hasn't yet received the kind of love other show hosts receive, for instance, Dr. Ken Jeong. Such is his popularity that he got a whole show to host by himself called 'I Can See Your Voice' on FOX. Coming back to the 'Bachelor' universe, or Bachelorverse, the show has churned out a slew of personalities that have been shown immense love and support from audiences and if Harrison were to ever leave the show permanently, here's a list of people that could replace him and audiences would go crazy with joy.
Rachel Lindsay
Rachel is a fan-favorite. Rach-B as her supporters call her, is one of the few front ladies in 'Bachelorette' history who has legions of fans backing her and everything she does. Her level-headedness during her season is something that audiences of the show will remember for a long time. Her popularity amongst the audiences resulted in her being appointed as host of 'Ghosted: Love Gone Missing' on MTV and it's a no-brainer that people would love to watch bring balance with her hosting skills on the 'Bachelorette' as well.
Nick Viall
Nick Viall's beginnings in the 'Bachelor' world was not great at all and he came across as one of those clingy guys that not a lot of people like to hang out with. However, his turnaround was very impressive and he still remains popular amongst audiences. He also has a podcast wherein he talks about all things happening in the 'Bachelor' universe along with popular alumni from the show. His humor coupled with his fun personality will be a nice touch to 'Bachelor'.
Kaitlyn Bristowe
Kaitlyn Bristowe didn't find lasting love with the person she gave her final rose on her season of 'Bachelorette', however, the 'Bachelor' franchise has been very kind to her. Not only did she find her forever kind of love with Jason Tartick who was a contestant on Season 14 of 'Bachelorette' (who later went on to guest appear on her podcast, their first chance date where all the magic happened), Kaitlyn also got enough love from the audiences and continues to does so even now. She's currently a contestant on 'Dancing with the Stars' and her ballroom dance performances have been well-received by her fans and she is in the Top 10 of the show and if Twitter support for her stint on the show is anything to go by, you are looking at a Top 3 contestant of the competition. The audiences love everything she sets out to do and it's a given that they'd more than rejoice if she steps in as a host on the show.
Sean Lowe
Just a couple of months ago, Bachelorverse was reminded about how much of a gentleman Sean Lowe is. He was the very first Bachelor, the audience saw him getting married to the woman who had received his final rose on live TV. He and his now-wife Catherine Guidici are a beautiful couple who've built an amazing family and continue to be in love even today when the general norm for people on the show is the couple breaking up after few months of being together. Their journey was once again relived on 'The Bachelor: The Greatest Season -- Ever!' leaving everyone with the widest grins. So who better than Ryan Lowe to host the show? Everyone knows he loves love and that would be a better advisor to contestants considering he's been in those shoes before and what an example he's set.
Wells Adams
Wells is one of the most fun cast members in the history of the franchise. He is an animal enthusiast, he can definitely cook, his 'Worst Cooks In America' celebrity edition win earlier this year proved just that, can we make a double mention about how hilarious he is and what a delight it is to watch him in his element. While there might be doubts about how would he handle serious moments on the show, for example. you cannot imagine anyone but Harrison or Sean Lowe, especially not Wells, handling Clare wanting to leave the show amidst so much drama and also, having found the love of her life in Dale Moss. However, he can very well be trusted to light up each scene he is in and makes the show more watchable with his affable personality that doesn't have many haters. Maybe his fiance, 'Modern Star' actress Sarah Hyland could join him for an episode or two while he's at it? That sure would be a treat, do you agree? Let us know in the comments if you do.
'The Bachelorette' airs Tuesdays at 8 pm ET on ABC.
