John Legend is named People's Sexiest Man Alive and conservative fans are outraged
John Legend finally got his title of People's Sexiest Man Alive and the conservative fans are outraged with the news.
When 'The Voice' season 17 returned on Tuesday night to announce who the Top 13 contestants are, Blake Shelton took it upon himself to induct John into the club of Sexiest Men Alive. "As you may remember, I was the 2017 PEOPLE Magazine Sexiest Man Alive. Because of that, it is my duty to formally introduce the next Sexiest Man Alive, and he just so happens to be here tonight. Ladies and gentlemen, the man, the myth, the legend! 2019 People Magazine Sexiest Man Alive, John Legend!”
But that wasn't the end of it, Blake brought out the bling by giving John a bedazzled pair of shorts that said 'VEGOTSMA' referring to his win on 'The Voice' last season, and his impressive win of an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony.
In an interview with People, John revealed that he was happy and scared at the time time. "I was excited, but I was a little scared at the same time because it’s a lot of pressure. Everyone’s going to be picking me apart to see if I’m sexy enough to hold this title. I’m [also] following Idris Elba, which is not fair and is not nice to me!"
Though the award-winning singer's fans are happy about his win, the conservative's aren't, and we all knew this was coming. Taking to Twitter, the conservatives are outraged with John winning the title of People's Sexiest Man Alive.
"So @johnlegend is #SexiestManAlive? Have they not seen my man? ;-) Wait until Donald hears about this..." wrote a fan. Adding to that another said, "I seen who was on that list and out of all them, they chose John Legend. Who did this? I just wanna talk."
"If your idea of sexy is a sissy ass liberal with a loudmouth moron for a wife, then yeah... I guess..." wrote a fan. While another said, "People Magazine crowning John Legend as the “sexiest man alive” is peak clown world shit."
Adding to that a fan said, "I think that People accidentally swapped photos with Wired’s dorkiest man alive."
"You've got to be effing kidding me. I just look at him and wanna barf. That's what a horrible personality and no moral compass does to a person, it makes them ugly inside out", wrote a fan.
"Can you pick a weaker person. You should have picked @johnlegend as the unsexiest man alive", added another fan.
