Actor John Krasinski expressed his gratitude for frontline health workers in Boston in the third episode (April 12) of his highly-regarded and much-loved YouTube series 'Some Good News'. Surprising a few staff members from the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center COVID-19 unit, the 40-year-old actor arranged for a fun day out.

With an introduction from Red Sox legend David Ortiz, they stepped into the stadium, Fenway Park, threw out some pitches and got some much-needed time to themselves. The episode also saw a cameo from his wife, Emily Blunt, and the entire Red Sox team (apart from Ortiz).

Finding that there was a dearth of positive news in times of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 'The Office' actor had launched his own YouTube show that he films from his home called 'Some Good News'. His first episode with 'The Office' co-star Steve Carell was an instant hit.

In his second episode last week, he surprised a young 'Hamilton' fan with a virtual performance of 'Alexander Hamilton' with Lin-Manuel Miranda, Anthony Ramos, Daveed Diggs, and more on Zoom.

Krasinski's gesture and his channel is appreciated all over the world. At a time when millions across the globe are struggling to keep it together, his YouTube channel is deemed a blessing in disguise, bringing heartwarming tales from one end to the other.

"This is just putting me in tears @johnkrasinski, im not even a baseball fan, but damn is this some awesome good news," tweeted a fan. The stories he brings to his viewers have been "melting hearts".

"This was one of the sweetest things I saw on my TL! Late to the party but absolutely LOVE what you are doing @johnkrasinski & @somegoodnews! Melting my heart & filling it with such amazing stories! I've been binge watching to catch up!!"

Gratitude has been pouring in from every corner of the world.

"John, I really really really appreciate this show. I live in Seoul, South Korea with my husband. I worry about my family and friends in the USA every single day. My father is a doctor in NC and he is working with immunocompromised patients every day. I am proud of him and terrified for him. Your show makes me remember how beautiful and strong my home is. It eases my heart and I get misty-eyed every episode," commented a fan.

"From Sydney, Australia @johnkrasinski @somegoodnews can I say this is the best show I’ve ever seen keep up the great work thanking all that deserve the big thank you!" tweeted a fan.

Fans cannot stop thanking him for offering them respite. "I'm a 33-year-old man and every single one of these episodes has had me in tears. @SomeGoodNews Thank you John for being an Amazing Caring, Kind, and most importantly Humble Human Being! ❤❤❤" commented a fan.
