Joe Biden's son Hunter and his newly pregnant wife go missing from Christmas family photo
Former vice president and 2020 Democratic frontrunner, Joe Biden, posted a Christmas family photo on Twitter on December 25. However, his son Hunter and his newly pregnant wife Melissa Cohen were both missing from the picture.
The Biden family included the former VP with his wife Jil, daughter Ashley and grandchildren including three of Hunter's daughters — Naomi, Finnegan, and Maisy. Joe, along with the picture, wrote a holiday message, saying: "May your time with loved ones be full of peace, laughter, and joy. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. With love, from my family to yours."
The Democrat candidate also shared a video of his dogs on Twitter and wrote: "When we say Merry Christmas from the entire Biden family, that means even the dogs." However, Hunter was nowhere to be seen in the picture and video. He and his wife are said to be living in Los Angeles currently.
Hunter has reportedly been embroiled in an ongoing paternity battle with his Arkansas baby mama Lunden Roberts, who has demanded the sole custody of their child claiming that Hunter is a dead beat dad.
He and Lunder Roberts reportedly met when she was working as a stripper at the Moire Club in Washington DC. Hunter, at the time, was dating Hallie Biden, his late brother's widow. Roberts, in court papers filed by her, said that she worked for Hunter between May and November 2018. The 28-year-old also provided the court with a health insurance card and paystubs provided to her by Hunter.
In a suit filed in Independent County on December 23 evening, Robert demanded custody of her 16-month-old child with Hunter, claiming he wouldn't even be able to "identify the child out of a photo lineup". She also added that Hunter is a "stranger" to their toddler.
President Donald Trump, earlier this month, had also demanded that Hunter be called as a witness in his impeachment trial considering he is at the center of the impeachment trial against Trump.
Pelosi launched an impeachment inquiry in September after a whistleblower lodged a formal complaint alleging that President Trump had sought favor from Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky during a June phone call, asking him to investigate his political rival Joe Biden and his son Hunter.
